SUBJECT: CFA Power Outages Over Winter Break
As part of the ongoing CFA Infrastructure project, there will be multiple power outages within the CFA building between the Holiday break (12/29/2025 to 01/02/2026) that will affect spaces on the A-level and 1st Floors. Additional outages will occur on the 3rd and 4th floors during the first week of the new year (01/06/2026 to 01/07/2026). The attached floor plan highlights the affected areas.
The work and resulting outages are necessary to perform replacement of electrical panels which cannot be accomplished during normal business hours.
To ensure the safety of equipment and prevent data loss, we ask all faculty, staff, and students with access to these floors to:

Power Down Electronics: Fully shut down computers, printers, and specialized studio equipment before leaving for the break.

Unplug Sensitive Gear: Unplug high-value electronic equipment to protect against potential power surges when service is restored.

Check Refrigeration: If you have materials in refrigerators or freezers on these floors, please ensure they are moved or that the units can sustain a temporary loss of power.

Network Access: Note that local Wi-Fi routers and wired network ports in the affected areas may be offline during the maintenance windows.
