To demonstrate compliance with the fire code and to ensure emergency preparedness, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) will be conducting a fire evacuation drill for all housing buildings on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. The drills will begin around 3:00 pm and finish around 7:00 pm. If the drills need to be canceled for any reason, the tentative makeup date is Wednesday, January 28, 2026, beginning around 3:00 pm. Notice of the need to use a makeup date will be provided as soon as possible after cancellation of the original date.

During the fire evacuation drills, you will hear a siren/horn and/or voice command announcement to evacuate. We ask for your full cooperation during the drills. The expected duration of each drill will be approximately 10 – 15 minutes. We recognize the drills may interrupt your schedule and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
