SUBJECT: Gates Hillman Center Air Handling Unit Issue – Cooler Temps Expected
A rooftop air handling unit on the roof of the Gates Hillman Center is currently experiencing a mechanical issue. This is resulting in lower airflow and cooler temperatures on the upper floors of the south wing of the building (see attached floor plans for affected locations).
A large crane is required to access the unit. Repairs are scheduled to take place on Monday, February 9.
With the low temperatures forecast for this weekend, FMS is working closely with SCS Facility Coordinators to prevent dangerously low temperatures in the affected area. Occupants should expect temperatures to remain colder than normal until the unit is fully restored on Monday.
