UPDATE – Thank you for joining today’s call to discuss the planned full building power shutdown for the Gates Hillman Center. We appreciated your time and the valuable input shared during the conversation.

As we continue coordinating the logistics for this outage, we are asking for your feedback on scheduling constraints. Specifically, please let us know:

·       Whether this work could occur overnight on a weekend, and if so, which weekends do not work for your teams.

·       If no weekends during the academic calendar are feasible, please indicate alternative dates or time periods that would work instead.

Please note that emergency generators will operate throughout the outage.

Please send your responses to Shannon Wetzel (swetzel@andrew.cmu.edu) by Monday, 2/23, so we can compile availability and move forward with planning.

SUBJECT: Gates Hillman Center – Planned Power Shutdown Discussion 2/16 12PM

A full building power shutdown needs to be scheduled for the Gates Hillman Center (GHC) to replace a main switchboard circuit breaker.

A meeting has been set up to discuss details of this power shutdown on Monday, 2/16, at 12PM.  Please send an email to Shannon Wetzel at swetzel@andrew.cmu.edu if you would like to be invited to this meeting.

At this time, we are still awaiting confirmation of the shipment date of the new breaker and therefore do not yet have a guaranteed timeline for the work. The meeting is intended to explore constraints on when the full building outage can happen.
