UPDATE – PWSA will be interrupting water service to part of the 4600 block of Winthrop tomorrow, 2/12, and/or Friday, 2/13, to continue service on its leaking main.
The following buildings could be impacted:
  • 4609 Winthrop
  • 4616 Henry (INI Building)
  • 4625 Winthrop
  • 4631 1/2 Winthrop
  • 4638 Winthrop
Their intention is to isolate the middle of the block and interrupt service only to INI and 4625 Winthrop.
PWSA has made repairs to the backup water lines to 300 S. Craig and UTDC which should provide full service to those buildings during the shutdown. We will verify when they begin work, and post updates as we learn more.

For questions or concerns, please call the FMCS Service Response Center at 412-268-2910.

UPDATE – Pittsburgh Water (PWSA) has finished repairs and restored water service to the 4500 and 4600 blocks of Winthrop Street. Their crews have been working on the infrastructure throughout the week and are confident the issue is fully resolved.  Thank you for your patience and flexibility during these repairs.

You may use your water as normal.  If your water appears cloudy or discolored, please run the cold water tap for a few minutes until it clears.

We will keep you informed if any further work is required and recommend that departments maintain their contingency plans in case of unforeseen interruptions.
