SUBJECT: East/West Walkway Power Washing and Concrete Sealing 7/26 – 8/6

 

The East/West Walkway is scheduled to be power washed and the concrete sealed from 7/26 – 8/6.

 

This work will start near the Purnell main entrance and will progress East toward the new work area at West Wing.

 

Sections of the walkway will be closed during this work.  Please use adjacent walkways.

FMS- UPDATE – Resnik/West Wing Domestic Water Shutdown 7/20 – 7/22

UPDATE – The domestic water shutdown at Resnik will be extended through the end of the day tomorrow, 7/22.

 

Domestic hot water at West Wing will also be affected by this shutdown.

The domestic water will be shut down at Resnik on 7/20 and 7/21 in order to repair a water line and replace a pressure-reducing valve station in the A35 meter room.

There will be no domestic water service to the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and the Integrated Innovation Institute (III) starting at 6PM on 7/21 until 4AM on 7/22 while PWSA contractors perform maintenance on their lines in Forbes Avenue in front of the Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History

SUBJECT: Baker Hall Alarm System Testing 7/21 8:30AM-10:30AM

 

The Baker Hall fire alarm system will be tested tomorrow, 7/21, from 8:30M – 10:30AM.   The alarm speakers and strobes will be activated briefly during this test, however, you will not be required to evacuate the building.  Occupants are cautioned to respond to sounding fire alarms at all other times by immediately evacuating the building.

FMS- Main Campus and CIC Electricity Transfer 7/20 and 7/21

SUBJECT: Main Campus and CIC Electricity Transfer 7/20 and 7/21

 

Duquesne Light will need to remove a feeder from campus and the Robert Mehrabian Collaborative Innovation Center (CIC) Building starting tonight, 7/20. 

 

CIC will be removed at 7PM tonight, 7/20, and will be restored at 7PM tomorrow night, 7/21.  The CIC Building will experience a short loss of power when the feeder is taken out of service and also when it is placed back in service. 

 

Main campus will be transferred at 7:30PM both tonight and tomorrow night.  Buildings on Campus will not experience any disruption to power during these times.
