SUBJECT:    Asbestos Work on the Mall

You may see people from Key Asbestos working in suits and respirators removing asbestos piping in the “Mall” between Doherty and Baker Halls beginning Wednesday August 28, 2013. 

There should be no health concerns for anyone near the work area because the nature of the material and the method of removal. 

The project is permitted under Allegheny County regulations. The County has approved the abatement process.  There will also be monitors, a third party consultant, to verify the safety of the work.
