SUBJECT: 4615 Forbes Ave-GATF Building Water Outage 8/31 – BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED

The underground main water service valve for the GATF Building (4615 Forbes Ave) will be replaced on 8/31.  This work is required as the valve can no longer be closed and requires replacement.

The domestic water and fire line will be shut down at 6:00PM on 8/31 and is expected to be back online by 3:00AM on 9/1.  Due to the water being out for both services, the building will be closed for occupancy during these times.

The underground valve in the sidewalk along Forbes will be excavated during the daytime hours on 8/31 to prepare for the valve change starting at 6:00PM.  The sidewalk will be closed during this work as well. Sidewalk repairs will follow the next two days after the valve is replaced.
