REMINDER/UPDATE – Beginning Monday, 5/11, the FMS Building pedestrian bridge will be closed for rehabilitation work.  The project is expected to continue through late July. Attached is the detour plan.

Please be aware that the painting of the FMS Bridge will utilize a compressor during part of the work which will create some noise.  The compressor will be located on the top of CIC drive and will be used during the hours of 7am-3pm for a portion of the overall project schedule.  Additionally, there will be a new coating applied to the bridge which may have some odors.  The HVAC systems in the area will be adjusted accordingly to minimize the impact to building occupants while this work is occurring.

For questions or concerns, please contact Adam DiMenno, CDFD Project Manager, at 412-268-5371 or adimenno@andrew.cmu.edu.

SUBJECT: Upcoming Pedestrian Pathway Closure – FMS Bridge Starting 5/11

Please be advised of an upcoming construction project that will impact pedestrian circulation near the Facilities Management Services (FMS) Building.

Beginning Monday, 5/11, the FMS Building pedestrian bridge will be closed for rehabilitation work.  The project is expected to continue through late July.

Clearly marked detour signage and alternate routes will be installed prior to the closure to assist those travelling through the area.  Community members are encouraged to plan extra time and follow posted directional signage.

Additional information, including maps and route details, will be shared as the project start date approaches.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete this important infrastructure improvement aimed at maintaining a safe and accessible campus environment.
