SUBJECT: Facility Coordinators – Occupancy Signage Guide

Thank you to everyone who has continued to send us the “CLOSED” rooms throughout your buildings.  In order to avoid confusion and make sure we are servicing your areas in the most effective and efficient ways, please send an email to fixit@andrew.cmu.edu and let us know if the spaces in your buildings are:

A. UNNOCUPIED & CLOSED – Spaces will be deep cleaned once and locked.  Routine cleaning will be suspended in these areas.  Maintenance staff will check the space for issues.

B. Spaces with LIMITED USE – Spaces will be cleaned upon request.  If someone uses the room and it needs cleaning services, please call 412-268-2910.  Maintenance staff will check the space for issues.

C. OCCUPIED SPACES – Spaces will receive routine cleaning, in some cases at a higher frequency than normal.  Public spaces will be posted with the DO NOT CONGREGATE signs, however, FMS will not post signs on the department occupied spaces.

Attached is a Temporary Occupancy Signage Guide that will help you distinguish the different signs that will be hung in your areas and around Campus.
